Arch Reinsurance promotes senior leaders
Jerome Halgan has been appointed president and chief underwriting officer (CUO) of Arch Reinsurance Group, one of three appointments to the senior team.
Halgan already serves as CEO of Bermuda reinsurance business Arch Reinsurance Ltd. He will continue that role and also oversee underwriting strategy, operations and approach across the group. Halgan has been with Arch since 2009.
The other appointments see Vanessa Hardy Pickering promoted to chief financial officer (CFO) of Arch Reinsurance Group and Lester Pun to chief operating officer. Pickering, who joined Arch from specialty re/insurer Hamilton in 2021, was previously CFO for Arch Reinsurance Ltd, while Pun was chief actuary for the business. He joined Arch in 2018 from New Ocean Capital Management.
